		<description>Sally, her clicking knittng needles, and needle-sharp mind will remain forever in the memory of those of us who knew her as a graduate student at Penn and as a Classical colleague in the fight for the dignity of all human beings. It was an honor for me to work under her direction on an APA Panel on Colonialism and in an issue of CLOELIA discussing Mentoring.
 Sally always had a smile and warmth in even in a room of all-too-serious and sometimes chilly Classicists. She emitted a clear light and leaves the world a somewhat darker place.
